Just downstream of Keepers Cottage there is a line of three old coppiced Tree stumps, known locally at Stoggles, that are now in the middle of the Stream
It seems unlikely these grew in the stream, hence perhaps the course of the stream has changed over the years, widened, and worn away round the back of the Stoggles
The upstream Stoggle forms an arch, and is thought locally to have perhaps been an old bridge foundation?
While the Snowdrops at the Stone Bridge are in full flower, those at Keeper’s Cottage are yet to open up today.
Just coming into flower
Snowdrops just peeking out
Snowdrops at Keeper’s Cottage
The Snowdrops on the bank opposite the Stone Bridge are in full flower this week. Nice sheets of them, not quite fully open flowers yet, perhaps this weekend
However the other Snowdrops by the sides of Keepers Cottage are not in flower yet
